Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These terms apply when you use critical.design or purchase anything from the School of Critical Design, which is operated by Neeley Worldwide, Ltd. (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Kingdom. By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

What we offer

We offer self-paced online courses, live courses and masterclasses, the Thinking Collection membership, digital downloads, the Studio programme, and bespoke learning for organisations. What is included with each offering, its price, and its schedule are described on its product page at the time of purchase.

Payments

Prices are listed in pounds sterling (GBP). Payment is processed securely by Stripe at checkout. Your purchase is confirmed when payment succeeds, and we will deliver access or download details by email. If something goes wrong with delivery, contact us and we will put it right.

Cancellations and refunds

Our refund terms — including the money-back guarantee on self-paced courses — are set out in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Course materials and intellectual property

Course materials, lessons, recordings, downloads, and the content of this site are the intellectual property of Neeley Worldwide, Ltd. or our collaborators. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning and practice. Please don’t share course access, redistribute materials, or resell them. If you want to use our materials with your team or organisation, ask us about bespoke learning and multi-seat licences — we make that easy.

Live sessions and community

Live courses, masterclasses, and Thinking Collection sessions are shared spaces. We expect participants to engage in good faith and treat others with respect. We may remove anyone who disrupts a session or harasses others, without refund. Session schedules may occasionally change; if we reschedule, we will give you as much notice as we can, and if a change doesn’t work for you our Refund Policy applies.

What we don’t promise

We teach methods for exploring uncertainty — we can’t promise particular career, business, or creative outcomes from taking a course. The site and its content are provided “as is”; we work hard to keep everything accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies, and material changes will be reflected in the date above. Questions: hello@critical.design.
