We are working to make the School of Critical Design a more inclusive and representative forum as we address the critical challenges facing our planet, people, and organisations.
We understand that income, means, and time are unequal across personal, regional, and global contexts. We’ve built our online courses to be radically more accessible than traditional design education — but for some people and situations we understand pricing is still a barrier.
Top university design masters programmes (where we also teach) cost students tens of thousands of pounds a year. We don’t think serious speculative design education should depend on that level of access. If our pricing is still difficult for your situation, we’d like to hear from you.
Scholarships are open to people we particularly want in the room: young designers, practitioners working in emerging markets, those building new practices, students, and anyone whose specific circumstances make the standard pricing genuinely difficult. Tell us a little about who you are and what you would do with the course, and we will look at your application with care.
