Introducing our Studentship programme

Each year we take on 6 students in post-graduate education or early career stages. We’re committed to opening this opportunity to students from diverse global backgrounds. We welcome applicants from interdisciplinary backgrounds, anywhere that critical approaches to the future and to design in its broadest sense are important.

We are looking for 6 students in post-graduate education or in their early career to join us for a year-long studentship.  We’re committed to opening this opportunity to students from diverse global backgrounds. We welcome applicants from interdisciplinary backgrounds, anywhere that critical approaches to the future and to design in its broadest sense are important.

At the moment our studentships are run in English.

The studentship offers:

Free access to School of Critical Design workshops

At least 3 mentoring sessions across the year

Feedback on individual or group projects

A platform for sharing work with our global alumni and partners

Prospective applicants should apply with a one page or two minute recorded answer to the question: how does design practice go wrong?

Applicants should also include a link to a project, think-piece or creative work that represents their thinking and perspective.

We encourage a critical approach to methods and organisational practice and we want to see your perspective on the limitations of design practice in your area of interest

Applications are on a rolling basis.

For more information and to apply please contact gem@critical.design
